Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is coming up!!! I love this holiday, okay I love all holidays. Forget about the whole this holiday was created by the greeting card companies blah, blah, blah! What a fun excuse to celebrate and spread God's love! I am super excited to spend a little extra time loving on my baby girl.

I haven't decided how to celebrate this holiday completely, I just want it to be fun. I wanted to share how we have celebrated this holiday in past, and some ideas, crafts and more I have for this year.

Not wanting to overdue it this holiday and keeping simple and basic; my husband and I decided to make gifts for each other.

One year he made me a picture frame with sweethearts glued on (I loved it), I made him and I matching shirts

Another year we went to a paint your own pottery place and made each other a bowl.

For a couple of years we worked together and made scrapbook pages from our wedding.

Last year was probably one of my favorites and a great inexpensive, fun, date night. Hey, you can even get the kids involved!!!

We each had $15 we had to buy the other person 3 things, one of which had to be edible. I think we also had a time limit, I can't remember. We went to our local mall, shopped at the same time but avoided each other. Person closest to $15 without going over got a massage later that night. We had done this date night once while we were dating, loved it then and decided to repeat it.

The gifts I got him, I spent $13.44

The gifts he got me, he spent $14.63

To decorate for Valentine's Day I kept it simple with some fun crafts and a couple of dollar store finds.

I made this L-O-V-E banner and tissue paper tassel!

I found this cute heart garland at Dollar store, bought two and voila cute decorations!!

For Valentine's Day breakfast I was thinking of making heart shape pancakes bite size for little miss! Maybe even red velvet pancakes???
Haven't thought about dinner? Maybe a heart shape pizza from Papa Murphy's??

Little Misses Valentine's gifts will be

Romeo and Juliet board book

Bath time letters

Eiffel Tower Onesie

No ideas on what to get Mr. Amazing. Any suggestions??
Let me know if you try the $15 date night??

Hoping to spread lots of love,
Dorinda
