Mackenzie's Birthday Party!!

Yay! Husband did a temporary fix to my computer. Now, I can resume normal blogging schedule!!

So, here is Mackenzie's first birthday party. I must add a note that without my grandma, mom, dad and sister-in-law her party would have been nothing!! So thank you to them for being my help in time of need. Here are the decorations!

My mom did the trees, I love how whimsical they turned out, my dad made the paper boxes on the table. They held teddy grahams and animal cookies. We also served red vines, mini pizza's, strawberries, blueberries, smore's (graham crackers, marshmallow cream, dipped in chocolate) and breadstick snails.

I made the faux chalkboard using black poster board and white crayon.

Here was Mackenzie's outfit

I made all of it, the leg warmers are lady socks hemmed, the onesie is a white one from hobby lobby, I cut out the letters on a shipping labeled and painted it with fabric paint, the second coat I added glitter, let that dry then put fabric paint on top to keep the glitter on. The tutu is made with ribbon and red tulle.

My grandma made party hats for everyone, but I forgot to pass them out. boo!!

These were just felt glued together, for future reference double layer the felt!

We opened presents...

And then it was cake smash time! For the cake smash outfit I added ruffles to the back of a diaper cover from hobby lobby. I couldn't find my needle and thread so I just safety pinned it on.

She loved her fox cake!!

After the party we had hang out time.

After the party our local Arena football team had a game. While we were there Max got a picture with the mascot and her name on the screen. YAY!!

This party was a success!! I think this one, is her favorite birthday ever! I made a point to enjoy the party. To all new mommy's make a point to enjoy your child's first birthday, don't get wrapped up in all the details and miss out!

I already have her 2nd birthday theme picked out. Vintage Carnival. Keep up to date with my Pinterest board here.

In case you didn't know our family loves football!
Here is a video of Mackenzie playing football!

See you soon,
Dorinda
